Success in Life

What does it mean to you?

Being financially successful, having a fabulous career, raising your children well, completing a project with flying colours, making and keeping good friends, having a happy family, scoring well in your tests, being able to do a movement you were not able to do a few months back, achieving the goals you have set for yourself.

Success may be to you all of the above, or some of the above and even more. You determine what makes you successful, sometimes the society does that as well, but most importantly, one cannot let others dictate if you have succeeded or not.

Have dreams, set goals and then work towards them. After the journey then look back to see if you have succeeded.

A wonderful quote for inspiration, the original source of this is believed to be a poem from Bessie Anderson Stanley.

“To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.”
